Holmesdale Community Infant School and Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, volunteers and families to share this commitment.

We have a comprehensive Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy in place, along with established procedures that all staff (including supply staff, volunteers and governors) are made aware of. All staff are DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) checked to ensure they have no criminal convictions that would prevent them from working with children. Parents and carers are welcome to review the policy upon request.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is:

  • Mrs Mullarkey - Head Teacher

Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSL) are:

  • Mrs Hill - Deputy Head/Foundation Stage Leader
  • Miss Yeates - Deputy Head
  • Mrs Learwood - Year 2 Leader
  • Mrs Short - SENCO
