Grammar

Throughout the year we will be focusing on developing language and grammar including: adjectives, connectives, adverbs, strong verbs, how to write speech, comparatives, superlatives, paragraphs, prefixes, suffixes.

Phonics

Daily phonics take place using phase 5 & 6 of Letters and Sounds and Support for Spelling.

Reading

Daily guided reading activities.

Handwriting

Expectation is the children will be using a joined script in their writing.

 

The school has successfully provided a curriculum based on building on pupil’s skills.
