Our nursery children have been making the most of the warm weather by cooling off with some exciting water play. They enjoyed dipping their feet in the paddling pool and creating their own water run, exploring how water moves and splashes. A fun and refreshing way to learn through play. #KeepingCool #SensoryPlay #EarlyYears #foundationstages #infantschool #earlyyears #multiacademytrust #greensandmultiacademytrust #reigate #surreyschools #surrey #surreyhills #reigateandbanstead

Year 1 children enjoyed a visit from author Laura Knowles, who read her book "It Starts with a Seed" and shared how she develops her ideas. She engaged the children in a creative activity, imagining themselves as trees and used this to explore descriptive language. The children also learned how books are created, from initial concept to the bookshop, and how they can be published in different languages, giving them an exciting insight into the world of storytelling and publishing. #AuthorVisit #LauraKnowles #Storytelling #year1 #greensandmultiacademytrust #multiacademytrust #reigate #surrey #surreyschools #reigateandbanstead #greensandmultiacademytrust #multiacademytrust #reigate #surrey #surreyschools #surreyhills #reigateandbanstead

As part of the National Year of Reading 2026, we are excited to celebrate author and illustrator Jez Alborough this month! Our children love his fun, engaging stories filled with playful rhyming patterns, memorable characters and wonderful animal adventures. His books help to develop early language skills, build vocabulary and encourage a love of reading through repetition, rhythm and humour. We can't wait to share favourites such as Hug, Duck in the Truck and Where's My Teddy? throughout June! #NationalYearOfReading #Authorofhemonth #ChildrensBooks #lovereading #earlyyears #schoolreception #foundationstages #infantschool #greensandmultiacademytrust #multiacademytrust #reigate #surrey #surreyschools #surreyhills #reigateandbanstead

Year One children took part in a recycling workshop where they learned how to care for the environment. They explored what can and can't be recycled and what waste can be turned into, helping them understand the importance of recycling. Working in groups they discussed which items went into which bins. A great way to develop a deep understanding of how recycling works. #RecyclingWorkshop #ReduceReuseRecycle #EnvironmentalAwareness #ecoeducation #greensandmultiacademytrust #multiacademytrust #reigate #surreyschools #surreyhills #reigateandbanstead
